About Me
Jean Paul LeBlanc

I am a semi retired auto kustomizer who realized that I can create and express myself a lot better with a computer and a camera than a spray gun... I was born and raised in Canada and moved to beautiful California in 1979. I had the good fortune of working for the best people during my automotive career. I restored 60 movie cars (Yes, it included the Batmobile) for the King of Kustomizer: George Barris and I worked for top restorers Bruno's Corvette and Mike Fennell. In the late 90's I got hurt and had to learn a new career. I graduated from Wolden Multimedia Graphics in Anaheim and started to perfect my computer knowledge.
I moved to California City in 2001 and fell in love with the people and the desert. Today I do graphics and photography on a semi professionnal basis blending volunteer work, paying assignments and a little kustom work for a how-to book project (will be published early 2009).  I specialize in Digital Art, Photo Repair, Event Photography, Website building and hosting. I also contribute to Californiacity.com, CalCity.Biz, Topix.com and the Mojave Desert News. I contribute to my community by my involvment with the Optimist Club, the Community Club, East Kern Historical Museum Society, the local Art Commission, etc...

About Art...

Art is in the eyes of the viewer.

If it is beautyful or means something to you, it is ART!

You don't have to pretend you understand what Picasso or Pollack meant by this or that painting...It is their secret...

Who can read a mind?

About Digital Art...

Digital Art, in my views, is a simple evolution of the human love for beautyful things but also an expression of feelings and statements mixed with manual or intellectual progression.

Since rock on rock scratching in the caves, where humans, hiding from predators, described their predicaments to warn others, man has always looked for ways to express himself even before he could talk. From finger painting to brush painting was a long progress and from brush painting to creating with a camera or a mouse is only natural application of new ressources and progressive science.
